100 years in the making

Our History

This attractive nine hole course can trace its history back to 1923 when it was constructed through a true community effort. 2023 marks the 100th year of the Stettler Golf and Country Club. As we turn the page and head into a new era, we celebrate with a new primary and special commemorative logo.

The Stettler Golf and Country has had many shapes and sizes since that first tee-off. Our first president was D. Edgar and we can only imagine if our founding members knew what we would grow into.

From simple beginnings in community with a passion for golf, to being a runway for the glider club, and a part of the Elk’s Club, we’ve seen it all.

Through many years of success and challenges, the Stettler Golf and Country Club continues to be a fixture in Stettler and area.

Sand greens to grass, wooden clubs to composite, we are proud of our past and look forward to our next century.

Please look through our archives, we will be updating it regularly. If you have any stories or photos you would like to share, please contact the club.

We would like to thank Carson Ellis of Our Town Stettler for being a huge contributor to our historical images and stories.
